I have been completing my blog daily and commenting on many others. I still am finding it completely time consuming looking and commenting on each individual tool. This is especially so when I know that the tool I am looking into does not appeal to me as a future teacher, and is inappropriate for the Early Years classroom levels. I have still to complete some of the weekly activities and hope that some of these tools will appeal to me and be age and learning appropriate.
Looking forward to reading many more blogs,as there are some great tools not named on moodle site that students have investigated.
WELCOME
To all followers, I hope you will find something that will be of interest in the following pages of research.

When you find where the time has gone, would you mind returning some of mine as well......I too am finding that I am spending a lot of time exploring and using these tools (let alone keeping up with everyone elses) but I am loving the ideas it is giving me for different pedagogical approaches within the classroom. At least we can say in pure honesty that all the time we are spending is all going to benefit our future students.

ReplyDeleteI agree with you both, where has the time gone?? .... I want my time back too!! I find myself sitting in front of my computer for hours on end, playing with different tools, writing blogs, commenting on my peers and commenting on their comments on my own blog. I think that as learning managers, it is important that we make an effort to investigate, analyse and explore different teaching tools to enhance learning and teaching in the classroom. I find what you said Tonita a valid point when you said that the time we are spending is only going to be a beneift our future students :) So lets continue on in our exploration into technology in the 21st century and show our students that we are not stuck in the dinosaur age and that we can teach them a thing or two about technology! :P
ReplyDeleteThanks for the comments ladies. Gosh I really did sound quite negative to investigating tools but that is not what I meant. I am enjoying finding out about new tools so that I am not one of those "old dinosaurs" and really appreciate all the feedback given. The tools and blogs of others have been quite amazing to read and explore.I am learning more about myself the more I investigate and am gaining lots of new ideas.
ReplyDeleteI have to keep smiling and know that all the hard work I put in now will only assist me in becoming the best teacher I can be :)
